Financingthe purchase of your WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle)There are a two main ways that this can be done. Outright cash purchaseThis is usually effected by Bankers Draft for the total purchase price at the time of delivery (less any holding deposit that may already have been paid) or by ordinary cheque allowing time for it to be cleared prior to delivery. Hire PurchaseBy this method you are required to pay a deposit, which is a percentage of the purchase price, and can be from as little as 5%, and the balance left over is paid off by monthly instalments over periods of up to five years. The initial percentage deposit is based on the make and model of the vehicle, its age and the credit status of the purchaser. The hire purchase contract can be terminated at any time by settling the amount outstanding by obtaining what is known as a ‘settlement figure’. When this is discharged, the vehicle becomes the property of the purchaser. On the other hand the contract may run its course and when the final month’s instalment is paid the vehicle becomes the property of the purchaser. Customers can work out what their monthly repayments are likely to be by using a calculation table for this purpose, which can be seen by clicking 'Finance Calculator' below. We will be pleased to answer any questions regarding Hire Purchase and to obtain a formal quotation upon request. Silverline-Mobility Ltd., have a Consumer Credit License which allows them to arrange Hire Purchase contracts. |
